(1) Scenarios and situations in which masks should be worn.
1. In crowded indoor places such as shopping malls, supermarkets, cinemas, conference halls, exhibition halls, airports, docks and public areas of hotels;
2. When taking elevator and airplane, train, ship, coach, subway, bus and other public transportation;
3. In outdoor places such as open-air plazas, theaters, parks, etc.;
4. Health check, such as temperature check, health code check and travel information registration, when visiting a hospital or accompanying a patient;
5. When symptoms such as nasopharyngeal discomfort, cough, sneezing and fever appear;
6. When not eating in restaurants or canteens.
(2) Mask selection and precautions
Proper use, storage and cleaning of masks are key to maintaining their effectiveness.
The public is advised to choose disposable medical masks, medical surgical masks or masks at or above the protective level and comply with the following requirements:
1. Wear the mask correctly, ensure that the mask covers the mouth, nose and chin, and the nose clip is compacted;
2. Masks should be replaced in time if they are dirty, deformed, damaged or peculiar smell. The cumulative wearing time of each mask should not exceed 8 hours;
3. It is not recommended to reuse masks used on inter-regional public transport or in hospitals;
4. The masks that need to be reused should be hung in a clean, dry and ventilated place when not in use;
5. In case of discomfort such as tightness or shortness of breath during wearing the mask, go to an open and ventilated place to remove the mask immediately;
6. Carry spare masks when going out and store them in the original packaging bags or clean storage bags to avoid extrusion and deformation. Waste masks shall be treated as other garbage;
7. Families are advised to keep a small amount of particulate protective masks * and medical protective masks for use.
